I wanted to find a fun backpack for son who just started special needs preschool and has to back a bunch of supplies back and forth. We ordered the Shark print with his name printed and it turned out great. This is bag isnt too big but definitely a full size backpack to accomodate everything.

I ordered the pony backpack as a christmas present for my 6 year old daughter. When the backpack arrived I could not help but feel that the fabric felt thinner and cheaper than what I was expecting. Had I not had the backpack monogrammed I would have most definately returned it as I can tell it will not last as long as I was hoping for the price. The ponies are cute though so I am sure my daughter will love it. I am just not in love with it for the price...

We tend to expect good quality from Garnet Hill and so we have mixed feelings about this. The backpack itself is great and has held up incredibly well with alot of use from my 9 yr old daughter. However, the mesh pocket for water bottles has totally shredded and is now unusable. It's a shame because the backpack itself could work for another year, but she won't use it because she needs a place for her water bottle so the backpack is of no use to us. We expected better.
