Favorite Maxi Knit Skirt 4.8 5 170 170
Love, Love, Love! This skirt was worth the 2 month wait! Now I know why it is so popular- It is so very soft and comfortable, drapes beautifully, length is adjustable by rolling the waistband or wearing it at the hips-- plus I found it to be extremely figure flattering as well. I got the Castlerock, and it goes with everything in my closet. Looks wonderful with the Gentle Soles gladiator sandals I purchased earlier in the season. Perfect for wearing when you need more polish than jeans but don't need to be dressed to the nines. I will be buying this in more colors! June 29, 2015
Best Maxi Skirt Ever!!! Mine was on back order for almost 2 months!!! But sooo worth the wait. It's my new favorite skirt. I got it in Castlerock. Great color. I'm 5'2 and 135lbs. I ordered a small and it's plenty roomy. I was going to exchange it for an XS - however they are sold out, so I'll just put this in the dryer and hope it shrinks a little ;) June 26, 2015
Pleasantly surprised! I was skeptical about this skirt despite the stellar reviews. A style such as this generally does nothing but make me look wider in all the wrong places. I am so glad I bit the bullet and ordered anyway because I LOVE IT! It is a soft fabric that drapes beautifully. The length allows for cute shoes to show and doesn't come close to dragging on the ground. I am able to wear the skirt around my hips or pulled up at my natural waist. The pockets... YES! The are brilliant. So rarely can you find a skirt or dress with pockets that don't make you look wider. I just ordered the boxy tee pictured with it for a causal look and am going to try it with a crisp white collared shirt, sparkly necklace and heels for an evening look! June 26, 2015
Love Love Love Purchased this skirt based on the reviews. Took 2 months to recieve it after I placed my order but it was worth the wait! The fabric is soft and flowing with no clinging. Love the wide waistband that I folded over. This made for a better length for me. The big front pockets are fun and I think make the whole skirt! Wanted to order the navy, but it is no longer available. I am 5'3'' and 120lbs. Ordered the small and it fits perfectly! Thanks Garnet HIll for this wonderful, fun skirt! June 24, 2015
Back it goes Having waited months for this skirt, I hoped I would like it. Unfortunately it does not work at all. It is way to long and shortening it would either be complicated if done properly or would leave a very heavy hem is done quickly. Neither are good options. The pockets are lovely. The color is not a true navy and the double thickness is way to heavy for a DC summer. Back it goes June 24, 2015
To beach or not to beach? Oh, how I wanted a Maxi for the summer, the ideal beachy companion. But this wasn't it. Puckered seams, arrived very wrinkled. Too short for 5' 4", poor quality and altogether disappointing. Not to mention the shipping fees. This was a fail even though I've bought other Garnet hill items. June 18, 2015

The hip measurements are only 2 inches larger than the waist measurements for each size. That must be a misprint. Where is this item made? Any possibility of it being offered in petite sizes? 38 1/2 inches is much too long for me.

Answer:
The waist is a relaxed measurement taken at the opening and the hip is a high hip measurement taken along the waistband seam. It is made in China. Sorry, we do not offer it in petite at this time.

If you fold over the waistband does that make it appear bulky when wearing a closer fitting tank top or t-shirt?

Answer:
Folding over the waistband may make it look bulky. To find the best size, we would recommend viewing the actual garment measurements found under the Measurements tab.

You're just my size, and the XS is perfect. The garment measurements for this skirt are way off.

Sizing

Does this run small? The listed measurements look on the small side.
It seems like it would be very clingy on the hips, since the hip measurement is only 2" larger than the waist and it doesn't appear clingy in the picture.
Thanks!
