Favorite Maxi Knit Skirt 4.8 5 88 88
Beautiful skirt I wasn't sure about this maxi skirt because of its fullness but it is surprisingly flattering. I am 5'3", 120 lbs, and the small fits perfectly. It sits at my waist and falls just to the top of my feet. Beautiful knit fabric and also lined, which is a bonus. The pocket and hem detail make this skirt unique. Love it! February 25, 2015
Too Much for My Frame This is a lovely skirt, as other reviewers have noted, but it was just too much on me. I am 5' 4" and wear a size 12. Size M in this skirt fit well, as True Size suggested. I loved the feel, drape, length, and pockets of this skirt, but it looked like a lot of fabric on me, especially from the side. I have an hourglass figure, and I think my hips, combined with my very short torso, accentuated the look of "too much" on bottom. I'm disappointed that the look is ho-hum on me because everything about the skirt is lovely. February 24, 2015
Special and Simple look The fabric is very comfortable and it has a special and simple look that promotes high quality. I really like this skirt. February 22, 2015
This is no long shot! Ask my co-workers, I'm no fan of long dresses or skirts -- but this one is an exception! The material is so soft, the fit is fabulous -- and it allows me to look dressed up when I'm really wearing something as comfy as my jammies. I bought it in gray and navy and both are so versatile I can dress them up or down. So I'm long on the compliments. Well done Garnet Hill!! February 20, 2015
maxi knit skirt i agree this skirt runs a little large... i personally like the volume and the pleating... very flattering on, without adding extra volume. LOVE the pockets, and the interesting gather detail on the hem. the length is perfect for me at 5'5", grazes my ankles... might be very short for someone very tall, however. i purchased the castlerock, which is a nice steely grey. i liked it so much i purchased the beige one also. love it. Awesome skirt I just received this skirt in the mail. This is the first EVER review I have written. I LOVE this skirt and am in the process of buying it in other colors. I can see wearing it during the weekend in line with my "bohemian" side but also to work during the week with a dressier top. Its simply awesome. A bit pricey though. Not sure why its so expensive The cut is great but the fabric is common. February 11, 2015

The hip measurements are only 2 inches larger than the waist measurements for each size. That must be a misprint. Where is this item made? Any possibility of it being offered in petite sizes? 38 1/2 inches is much too long for me.

Answer:
The waist is a relaxed measurement taken at the opening and the hip is a high hip measurement taken along the waistband seam. It is made in China. Sorry, we do not offer in a petite at this time.

Sizing

Does this run small? The listed measurements look on the small side.
It seems like it would be very clingy on the hips, since the hip measurement is only 2" larger than the waist and it doesn't appear clingy in the picture.
Thanks!

Is it simply a matter of cutting and turning the hem under to stitch?

Very long legs

I am 5'10, I usually wear jeans size 27/37. So I have very longs legs and a short torso. Will the skirt be a good length or will it sit awkwardly by my ankles?
