Rated 5 out of 5 by from A little too faint I love the quality of Garnet Hill and this duvet and shams did not disappoint. Unfortunately, the color was fainter (almost white) than I expected. I tried talking myself into keeping them, but the color was far too pale in the bedroom slated for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like No Other Sheets I've coveted these sheets for over 10 years, trying to justify the cost for something already filling my closet. I finally decided to invest in a set of queen sheets. They're not smooth and slick like sateen or Egyptian cotton sheets, but they have a nice hand. Like an old linen shirt I've owned for ages, I expect these sheets will soften and become a favorite. Time will tell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Luxury Love these sheets! Pricey but worth it. Bought a set for myself and one for the guest room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Worth It I purchased the duvet in the darker pink about a year ago. I typically don't spend this much for bedding but it was a bit on sale and the color perfect. I now don't think about the price--only of the pleasure it gives me. I consider it an investment. It's well made, washes perfectly, and has completed my (somewhat rustic) bedroom decor. Now I'm eyeing the sheets......

Rated 5 out of 5 by from delicious bedding I bought the pebble sheets last spring and then, because the quality and weight are so lovely, the rye color duvet in autumn. The sheets are cool in summer and warm in winter. I love getting into bed and waking up in the morning!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The linen sheets look beautiful ... washed so far only once... they are softening up a bit. you definitely have to iron if you want the pretty raw edge to lay down neatly or even show... depending on how it dries. Sleeps on the warm side, but this feel great in the winter.

Has anybody tried washing these in hot water? Did they hold up?

I like to wash sheets in hot water and dry on hot setting because of my dust mite allergy. Would love to try these but they are too expensive for me to experiment with!
Asked by: sarahliz
I've washed in warm and dried on high with no problem.

It says do not bleach. What if you get the pure white?

I have kids and pets... I kind of like the earthenware, but would get the pure white if I can bleach it.
Asked by: Lilshopper
I read on another site that only sells linen sheets etc that Oxi-Clean will work with the white. I've been using it on my white EF linen sheets and all other whites for over a year and it works well. Does not yellow the fabric as bleach does.

The color Rye

Can customer service and hopefully customers who purchased the Rye color- please clarify how this color comes across? I see it, online, as a dark, stone Grey. I hear it has "brown undertones", but I can't imagine Grey- with brown, influencing the color. Any additional information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much-
Asked by: Alycat
The rye color is a warm rich grey with a brown hue, rather than a faded or cool grey. It's in the same tonal range as charcoal but in some light it leans towards a brown - maroon/purple tones -but mostly it reads dark grey. It's a beautiful color. I hope this helps.

Is the color "Earthenware" a true gray or is it taupe (brown-gray)?

Asked by: LinenGirl1
In my opinion, "Earthenware" has a very slight Olive Green hue set inside a Taupe, Brown Gray Color.

What is the longevity of 100% linen sheets vs 100% cotton, if washed weekly? How long do they last?

Asked by: carolly123
Linen and Cotton sheets should have about the same lifetime when cared for in the same fashion. However, there are many variables to be considered when trying to discern what a reasonable expectation of longevity would be, from water quality, detergent type, laundering method, frequency of usage, etc.
