Eileen Fisher Viscose Jersey Scoop-Neck Dress - Regular 4.5 5 83 83
Indispensible The dress us a MUST for everyones wardrobe. The fit is great and can be dressed up or down. September 14, 2014
EILEEN FISHER SCOOP NECK DRESS FLATTERING FOR ANY BODY TYPE, VERY COMFORTABLE TO WEAR BUT YOU STILL FEEL SEXY AND ATTRACTIVE WEARING IT. September 12, 2014
XS/TP conundrum I received this order on Friday night, and when I finally opened it on Sunday, I was puzzled by the XS/TP on the tag. I've ordered XS from Eileen Fisher for years and first thought that I perhaps ordered a petite size by mistake. Customer Service is closed on Sundays and I was anxious to wear the dress on Monday morning, so I performed an Internet search and realized that TP is extra small (tres petite) in French. An English/French clothing label for size small would be S/P. Glad I could clear up this minor mystery. The pomegranate color is gorgeous. September 7, 2014
Best Purchase Ever I bought this dress based on the reviews hoping it would become a wardrobe staple. It has! No more wondering what to wear...I look put together no matter how I wear it,dressed up or down, and I'm learning to use my accessories for a different look every day. And it's really comfortable, perfect weight for Northern California year round. I wear it twice a week to work and also at home with leggings for a casual look. I've ordered another in black and one in purple. I've got a few curves, but this dress somehow fits and drapes perfectly and makes me look great. I didn't know a dress could look this good on me. I'm 5'3", 135 pounds, Medium Petite is perfect, and I usually wear Small Petite in Eileen tops. September 7, 2014
highly disappointed After admiring EF clothes for years, I finally decided to try one. Since I didn’t know how the sizing ran, I did the True Fit provided by Garnet Hill; it recommended the PM (10-12), although I usually wear a regular 4-6 (I’m 5’0” and 115lbs), which would have been the XS size. I also ordered it in PS (8-10) just in case. I got it in the pomegranate color. I love the dress but it shows everything; no matter how smooth an undergarment I put on, every seam showed through, I even tried it with nothing on underneath. It wasn’t like the fabric was stretched tight, it was just super clingy. The PM size didn’t do any better, since it was looser on me it just bunched up in horizontal wrinkles on the upper half of my body. I looked up the comments and was surprised to see only a few people had this problem, should I have bought it even bigger? The PM size was already baggy in the shoulders. I didn’t want to feel like I was wearing a sack, or are EF clothes supposed to be that loose? September 2, 2014
IfYouAskMe Stylish dress. Easy fit for someone with figure issues. Somehow, looks a bit cheap (this is not true in general of Eileen Fisher dresses despite their unstructured style). I think it is the shade of purple which looks more like one of the Eileen Fisher copies might look - muted but not in a good way. The gray looks much better. August 28, 2014

Also, I am concerned about "new sizing." What does this mean? I am usually an "M" in most clothing lines but I learned long ago to order an "S" in EF dresses. Do you think that new sizing will change that? I am 5'4" and 145--pear shaped. What size would you recommend and what are the garment measurements on a Small and a Medium? Thanks.

Answer:
The two dresses are very similar. The Ballet Neck Knit Dress has a larger sweep, but only by 1.5 inches.

Answer:
The sizing is similar between the two sizes, however petite is only suggested if you are 5'4" and shorter.

I bought 2 of these in the past, M was perfect at first but shrunk a bit after first wash (cold water, line dry), L was too large and did not shrink enough after wash to be just perfect. Despite that, I've been wearing them both, making them work with some clever accessorizing, and I'm thinking about getting another color. Did anyone else notice any shrinking after a wash? Do you get your normal size, or size up/down for good fit?
