Eileen Fisher Rippled Cotton Coverlet

Not Sure
First let me say that this is a beautiful blanket. I love the color and love that it is fairly thin. However it is so heavy when wet that my front loading washing machine (which is fairly new) couldn't handle it. I wanted a blanket that that I could just throw into the washing machine and be good to go but instead will now have to go to the laundry mat just for this item. Honestly I would return it if I hadn't already attempted washing it and now that I have it's too late. .

Love the Feel
The cotton is soft and light but the thing I love most, is the edges are longer than most on the sides - therefore, a better fit and look!

Beautiful Casual Coverlet
Pros: This coverlet is soft, beautifully casual, and ample in size (we have a deep queen mattress, and there is plenty of material to softly drape down to our bed frame). When layered over a blanket, it keeps me warm while not overheating my husband - a minor miracle!
Cons: The muted color and lack of matching shams. I ordered the Sea Salt believing it would have a pale yellow cast to it; no such luck. While I like the look and feel of it, I would like to see more colorful options offered, even if only pastels.

Serves the purpose
I purchased this to act as a transition between a silk comforter and a down comforter. The oat color, size, and texture makes it a perfect transition piece on my bed. Love it!

Great light weight quilt
I purchased this quilt because it was 100% cotton. I do like the rippled surface as it adds a bit of interest to a white bed but also looks comfy without being sloppy. I would have loved to purchase matching shams for this but it does not appear there are available. I purchased a king size for my queen size bed and appreciate the size of it.
It is a cool Spring here so I added a light down blanket and it has been the perfect temperature to sleep. It think this will be a great weight for summer.

Its hard to tell from the reviews as many of them comment on the surprising warmth - t I'm looking for a late spring/summer weight coverlet/blanket - no central air conditioning! Thanks.

I do think it would be too warm for use in a NYC summer. You'd definitely have to "kick it off" on a hot night with no A/C. The material is heavier than I thought it would be, which was perfect for me since I do have A/C, but I think it might be too much for you.Age: 35-44

What shams go best with the Rippled cotton coverlet in Oat? The linen collection shams in Caramel?

Personally I like the Filigree Sham, #24640, in the dark camel with this oat colored coverlet. The linen collection does not coordinate as nicely in my opinion.1 year, 7 months ago
I am looking at the Oat colored coverlet. Would a king size fit a california king bed and which shams and sizes would you put with this coverlet. Standard or continental. I have been looking at the filigree shams in carmel as suggested in previous question. How soft are these?

I would agree with Denise that the Filigree Sham, #24640, in the dark camel with this oat colored coverlet would work best. There are other options in the "May We Suggest" box at the bottom of the item page as well. Does anyone else have any ideas?1 year, 7 months ago

Answer:
We do not have shams in the Eileen Fisher Rippled Cotton Coverlet Collection. However, the Eileen Fisher Lustrous Cotton Sateen is offered in coordinating colors. The eggshell coordinates very nicely with the oat, and the milkwood coordinates with the milkwood coverlet.1 year, 2 months ago
