Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sleeping so much better! First, I can't believe I spent this much on a pillow! Honestly, if I hadn't been desperate I wouldn't have even considered it. I had been sleeping on down pillows purchased in the last two years from GH. EVERY SINGLE DAY for the last year and a half I had been waking up with headaches and pain in my neck and shoulder. I didn't realize this could be a pillow issue until my massage therapist mentioned it. I researched and found so many recommendations for this pillow that I decided to charge it. I got the firm for back and side sleepers and it is, hands down, the BEST pillow I have ever owned. I thought it was a fluke that the first night I slept so soundly and woke up rested rather than in pain. I kept giving it just "one more night" to be sure before I'd consider a review. Granted, it's only been a couple of weeks but I seriously am so grateful to have found this. Finally I am sleeping well...I had forgotten how that felt. Crazy expensive? Yes. Worth it? So far, a big YES!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most amazing pillow ever I am particular about my pillow! I like soft ones with some downy feather body to it (organic of course)-this one is so perfect, I bought several! It has good head support but not too much and you can still scrunch it up or make it flat. It is a very comfortable pillow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Pillow Ever!!!! This pillow is the best ever! The organic cotton is soooooo soft, more soft than regular cotton. The quality of the down is higher than other down pillows I have had in the past. I sleep so well on this pillow.

What is the source of the down and feathers used in this pillow? Do you have any information on how they are harvested?

Asked by: Caroline11
The down is harvested from birds that were products of the meat industry, then de-feathered. Periodic inspections of these farms are performed to verify the birds are treated humanely. The down is NOT harvested using the "live pluck" method, nor is it harvested from birds that were raised for the purpose of "Foie Gras" (goose liver pate).

Are pesticides used with the down?

Asked by: Merriweather
The down used to make the Eileen Fisher products is washed in the vendor's factory in Cincinnati. The down is washed twice with a mild detergent (similar to Dawn dishwashing detergent) & rinsed twice with clean water. Then the down is dried in a steam dryer for 30 minutes at 120 C. After the down is dried, it goes to a "cooler" where it is tumbled under ambient air temperature for about 5 minutes.
