Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this piece Big Eileen Fisher fan! Clove was my color for this season. Simple - casual - somewhat refined w/natural fabics is my wheelhouse. Glad GH was able to get EF to do this coat in clove as it was not represented anywhere else including her own stores!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Coat This coat is very stylish and well proportioned for layering. It is also quite warm, perfect for temperatures between 40 and 60 degrees. Pricey but worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love This Coat I had my eye on similar versions of this coat before but they always sold out in my size before I could place an order. The small petite fit me perfectly (I do have to turn up the sleeves, but that's no big deal to me). The best thing about the coat is the weight of the boiled wool--not too heavy and not too flimsy. It drapes beautifully and is quite comfortable. I also love the fact that it has buttons so you don't have to hold it closed when it's windy (unlike the brand's kimono-style coats and jackets). I ordered it in clove; if you're considering that color, note that it has a slight purplish tinge that's especially noticeable in bright sunlight. Was hoping it would be more of a dark espresso or chocolate color, but still love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty, classic coat Roomy -- you can easily wear a sweater with this coat. Initially purchased in black but exchanged for clove, which is a flattering rich color. A good purchase on sale.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from totally original coat Got the clove and it's beautiful. Love the soft feeling of the boiled wool. I still have to get used to the flimsyness of the coat since it is not lined or stiff like most coats. Very happy though!

is it a softish or more harsh boiled wool? can the collar be made to stand up? and lastly, lined?

Asked by: gaelchristie
It is more of a soft boiled wool. The collar is not stiff at all. The coat is not lined.

Can Garnet Hill please display a photo of this coat closed on a model? Also, just more pics in general. What does the back look like? Thank you.

There is a seam down the center back from collar seam to hem.

I would also like see more photos of this item. Also does it run large? Just bought a EF notch collar jacket in xs because the s was too large.

Asked by: effantoo
Eileen Fisher items do run generously. If you click on the Measurements tab under the details, you can see the garment measurements to compare to the item you have to help determine which size will work best for you.

Is the black coat pictured for Misses the same coat as this brown one pictured for petites?

The black one has patch pockets and no obvious snaps while the brown one has inside (non patch) pockets and obvious snaps. Brown also does not look so oversized. Thanks
Asked by: Qvale
The coats are the same.
