I have been eyeing this item for a while, and after searching high and low, came back to this because of distinct pattern and colors available. My husband even likes it! I use it as a footrest in my bedroom, very versitaile. I bought the beige because I change color palettes often, and it will go with anything. I only wish there were throw pillows available in this same pattern. It adds a lot of dimension to sitting area in my room. I too have small children, and did not notice edges that are potientially dangerous when the kids play on it as the previous reviewer mentioned. The only reason I gave 4 stars was because of the price. If it goes on sale, I will be purchasing another 1 or 2 for my living room.

We bought the yellow and green beaton cube ottoman and while the color and design is terrific the construction could be improved. One of them was not balanced properly which is fine if it is on a rug, but when on our hard floors it wobbles. Also there are sharp edges that can be felt through the fabric where the wooden legs end half way up each edge (4 sides total) which would probably not be a concern except we have children who jump and fall all the time, if one of them hit the edge there could be significant injury. We had to move them out of the family room into our room where we hope the risk of injury is less, since they play less in there. So in summary, they look great but maybe if the design improved I could recommend them to others.
