I had the Flamingo Skirt and it curiously disappeared from my closet...well, I do have a teenage daughter, who swears she knows nothing about it! I could not live without that skirt, not really, but it was my favorite. I went on-line to reorder on and realized it was no longer being offered. Soooo I ordered the new version, the Barcelona. It is just as cute, maybe even a little more so. I love the soft fabric and the fit. Life is good with Garnet Hill!

I am always a bit leary when ordering from GH because I find that many of their clothes run large. I got this in a XS (5'5", 118 lbs.) and it fits perfectly. It's one of those skirts you can just throw on with a cute t-shirt or tank and go or you can dress it up. The fabric is not cheap and the skirt falls nicely, without bunching up. I read somewhere that someone felt it was bulky on top. I didn't find that and I tried it on with a few different tops. I got the grey and would love to buy another but the price is just a bit too high for me to justify more than one. But if it goes on sale I will grab it. I am 55 and though it falls above the knees, I don't feel it's too short. I know I will get alot of use from it.

thinking of buying this high-rated skirt but don't know if i should get small or extra small. the small says it's sized 6-8...i'm smalll in skirts and dresses so concerned small would be too bigl. does this skirt run a tad big?

It runs very big. I am a size 10 pretty consistently and would not consider ordering a size 6 skirt. However, I own three of these skirts and the first one I ordered in a M, and it is too big. I altered it, which was not easy due to the bias cut. The next two I ordered in a small and both fit perfectly. I am 5'4" about 140 and the skirts hit me a couple of inches below the knees. I love them; very versatile.Age: 45-54

I wear a 6 and tried this skirt in the S and XS - and they both fit me; however, if you have no butt and no hips, you need to go with the XS. I could have gone with either, but since I have a bit of a J-Lo derrier, I ended up keeping the S to ensure it didn't hug my rear. If you don't have the hips, the S will likely hang low on you. I never dry mine (I hang dry it) as I do think it would shrink. The material is however a little stretchy and is by no means a clingy shirt. I did not like the solid color ones as they are slightly marbled and a bit more flimsy/see through than the striped ones. If you are wondering if you should get a size that needs shrinking I do believe it would shrink. These tees seem generous in size though.Age: 35-44
