Børn Asbee Riding Boots 4.5 5 246 246
Shaft too big Ordered the Black leather boots, size 11 but the shaft size/shape is too big and they look a little too much like a rain boot. I need to return and will keep looking. October 14, 2014
Comfy AND Stylish I purchased the graphite last year and am back for the black pair this year. These boots are so comfortable and look great in jeans and skirts. I have received many compliments and am often asked where I purchased them. I don't think they'll ever go out of style either. October 12, 2014
Great Boots!! Beautiful boots! Great quality and fit. I got the black and considering ordering the brown too! October 10, 2014
Nice boots These are a well made, nice quality, fabulously styled boot, and getting them on sale made them a great value. I have slim calves and the top of the boot was too wide for my taste, so unfortunately I am returning them. I would have loved to have kept them though. October 10, 2014
Perfect...but runs large! I was prepared (and pleased) for the wide calves, which is perfect for me. I didn't expect that the boot itself would also run as large. I ordered my usual 7.5 and the footbed was huge. I'm exchanging for size 7 and hope the fit is good because the boots are really nice. October 8, 2014
I wanted to love these! The graphite color is great (even better in person) and I wanted to love these boots. However, I do not feel that they are generously sized to allow jeans to be tucked in. They seem to be about the same as every other pair of riding boots that I have tried and do not fit muscular calves. Also, for the price I definitely would have liked to see better quality from Born. The leather felt soft but was very thin. I do not feel that the soles will hold up nor do I like how cheap and flimsy the zippers are. Sadly, I will have to pay to return these to GH. October 7, 2014

Answer:
I just ordered this boot using the below answer from customer service - that the boot calf circumference is 15.5 inches. The size six has a circumference of 14.5 inches. For anyone with larger than average calf size, this boot will not likely work. Disappointment.

Answer:
I've got the similarly-styled suede boots and looked at the responses to the same question about those boots. The answers from Garnet Hill gave a calf/shaft circumference that seemed juuuust big enough to fit my calves. Yay! On that basis, I bought the boots. When they arrived, I discovered that the measurement GH had given was for the OUTSIDE circumference. And of course, the inside circumference is what counts, since that's where your leg goes. The inside circumference was just under an inch smaller than the outside circumference, which made a BIG difference for fit. (I did keep them, since they were stunning and beautifully made, and I cherish dreams that someday my calves will be a wee bit slimmer.)

Answer:
Just the bottom - the rubber is strong. I'm hard on shoe soles but they didn't need resoling even after a full season of wear.

It is slightly pointed, but not cowboy boot style. The photos in the catalog are pretty true to style.
