Asian Wrap Pajamas 4.5 5 1006 1007
Oh so disappointed When I put these on I was so pleased. Finally a pair of pj pants and a top that were cute, cozy and fit perfect....until I washed them. I followed the washing instructions to the letter and the pants are so much smaller they don't fit one bit (waist or length). Equally disappointing is the pretty stitching around the sleeve that did not stay intact during the wash. I loved them for the week I wore them and am SO bummed. They were my favorite :( The M for my 5'5, 147# frame WAS perfect. Consider ordering up. May 6, 2013
best pj's I have ever owned read the reviews and they are correct. gorgeous material and fit May 6, 2013
Favorite Pajamas I own three pairs of these pajamas. I am 5'4", 115 lbs and the XS fits perfectly even after countless washings (I have had the oldest pair for several years now). The colors have stayed bright and the cotton has just gotten softer over time. I highly recommend these! May 5, 2013
So Soft and Comfy I love my new pajamas because they are super soft and comfortable. They definitely run big so order the smaller of the two sizes if you are between. The price is a bit high but I will buy another pair when they go on sale or I have a coupon. April 30, 2013
Love these I've hunted for years for pajamas that still fit, especially in length, after they are washed and I've finally found them! It's really nice to have pantlegs that reach my ankles and sleeves that reach my wrists. April 20, 2013
Lovely Style - Too Long It's my 2nd pair and I love everything about them - look, fit, style and fabric. However, the sleeves and the legs are too long and I trip. With the piping and beautiful scallop edge, they would be difficult to shorten. Shorter length on both sleeves and legs would be greatly appreciated. I am 5"2. April 20, 2013

Answer:
I just ordered 3 pairs each of medium and large. They were all made in the Ukraine. Unfortunately, each pair was cut differently and shrunk after washing differently (in cold with low dry) - in both the medium and the large. The elastic waist was too tight in all of them. It was very disappointing. It's interesting to see that someone else answered this question 5 months ago noting that their pair was made in Turkey. I wonder how it fit. I also noticed that other reviewers in the February timeframe have complained of fit/quality issues. Wonder where theirs' were made. How many countries does Garnet Hill use for making these pajamas? Is the variance in fit etc. a function of where they are being manufactured?

Answer:
I hope that Garnet Hill takes a look at how these pj's are being sewn. I agree they are too tight in the waist. Maybe they are using a different manufacturer...maybe the patterns aren't being placed right on the fabric. I have been ordering them in a larger size just to be on the safe side. But if I am paying that much for pajamas, that I used to love, I want them to be the way they used to be!

Answer:
I just ordered 3 pairs each of medium and large. They were all way too tight in the waist. I am a size 6 and even the large waist was uncomfortably tight. There is clearly something wrong with the measurement of the elastic in the waist. It is simply being cut too small - at least in some of the pajamas. And, I noticed from a previous question that one person received a pair made in Poland. The ones I received were made in the Ukraine. Could it be that certain batches are being cut to fit correctly while in others mistakes are made and the waist elastic is cut too small but those pairs get sold anyway? Could Garnet Hill offer a drawstring waist option to help address the variance in manufacturing standards?

We are sorry you are disappointed and will share your feedback. The fit and fabric of these pajamas have not changed recently. Please know that these will soften with washing.

Answer:
I don't think that Garnet Hill has dealt with the shrinkage issue.. my issue is that the sizing has changed. I have not gained weight, in fact I weigh less than I used to... I think that they are trying to make them more slim looking..not what you want when you are sleeping. I have been wearing these since they first offered them, and the last 5 prs I ordered were too tight. Before washing. I have been making cuts in the waistband to make it more comfortable, and wearing my old worn ones.

Answer:
I wish I would have read your question before I ordered. As of February 2012, the shrinkage issue has not been corrected. I ordered 3 pairs each of medium and large. They all shrunk and each one shrunk differently - some many inches in length, others not so much. One of the three large pairs shrunk so much in length it was shorter than the medium pairs. Also, as I wrote in answer to a question above, the waists in all of them were way too tight - even the large (and I am a size 6). The waist in the medium shrunk to about 22" and the waist in the large shrunk to 24". It is very disappointing. The pairs I received should not have been sold as size medium or large with waists that small. The design is lovely and I would like to order more to see if it was just a bad batch but since I see you wrote about this issue 4 months ago and they are still selling flawed garments I doubt I reorder would result in a different outcome. Sad.

Answer:
These pajamas are made from green cotton and do have a higher shrinkage rate. We intentionally cut them larger to allow for that shrinkage.

Answer:
I understand the issue about hemming, as you do not want to destroy the wonderful design at the bottom of the pajama leg, but it is not "impossible" to hem the pajamas. It's quite a lot of work. But Petite people long for these pajamas! I hemmed a pair for my 4' 9" mom. I'm sure a professional seamstress would laugh, but this is what I did. I cut a 1 foot long piece off the bottom of the pajama pant leg, then cut the excess length off the remaining pant leg, then joined the 1st piece to the pant leg by doing two hems, one inside the pajama leg, and one on the outside, forming about a 1-1/2 " band." I used a thread color that closely matched, sewing by hand, then pressing. It really is hardly visible! It's held up for more than 2 years; lots of wear; lots of launderings. GH, these are so popular, please consider making in Petite sizes!

We apologize but at this time we do not carry our pajamas in a petite version. During the Spring/Summer season, we carry these in a capri style with a camisole top. Our Spring catalog will be out in January.

Probably not good for breast feeding. The opening looks wrapped but is very secure and you might ruin the garment trying to stretch it out.
